- Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter-softened
- 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
- 1 cup of pure pumpkin puree (do not use pumpkin pie mix)
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
- * Preheat oven to 350 degrees & grease your 9x5 bread loaf pan (or line your pan with parchment paper)
- Now let's mix our ingredients:
- -In a medium bowl: whisk together flour, salt, baking soda & powder, cinnamon, nutmeg & clove. Set aside.
- -In a larger bowl: cream together your softened room temp butter & sugar in mixer, until light & fluffy. Then add eggs, one at a time.
- Beating each egg added till incorporated into batter.
- -Then let's add in our pumpkin puree and mix or beat till smooth.
- -Medium bowl of dry ingredients, add to your wet mixture and combined. Do not overmix batter.
- -Some flour streaks are ok.
- -Pour your Pumpkin Bread Batter into your prepared baking pan.
- -Bake at 350 degrees for 60 mins. I would start checking bread at 50 mins - insert toothpick each time & when it comes out clean. Your bread is done.
- -Let your bread rest on cooking rack till cool. I then sprinkle with powder sugar and slice to serve.
