Ingredients

  • Ingredients:
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter-softened
  • 1 1/2 cups of granulated sugar
  • 1 cup of pure pumpkin puree (do not use pumpkin pie mix)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground cloves
  • * Preheat oven to 350 degrees & grease your 9×5 bread loaf pan (or line your pan with parchment paper)
  • Now let’s mix our ingredients:
  • -In a medium bowl: whisk together flour, salt, baking soda & powder, cinnamon, nutmeg & clove. Set aside.
  • -In a larger bowl: cream together your softened room temp butter & sugar in mixer, until light & fluffy. Then add eggs, one at a time.
  • Beating each egg added till incorporated into batter.
  • -Then let’s add in our pumpkin puree and mix or beat till smooth.
  • -Medium bowl of dry ingredients, add to your wet mixture and combined. Do not overmix batter.
  • -Some flour streaks are ok.
  • -Pour your Pumpkin Bread Batter into your prepared baking pan.
  • -Bake at 350 degrees for 60 mins. I would start checking bread at 50 mins – insert toothpick each time & when it comes out clean. Your bread is done.
  • -Let your bread rest on cooking rack till cool. I then sprinkle with powder sugar and slice to serve.
