I am such a dreamer. I have always wanted more and dreamed big dreams. But, at what point should I simply be happy with what I have? Does wanting more mean I’m not grateful for what I have? Is it wrong to dream beyond what life has given me, while it already holds so many blessings?
I’m always looking up to the sky, wondering what else might be waiting for me. I’m always thinking will any of my over-the-top dreams come true? I question everything and wish big dreams. At what point should I simply be happy with what God has given me. Does wanting more make me ungrateful? Is it selfish for me to dream of something beyond what is in front of me?
I look at what I have and where I am right now. I also reflect on where I once was. But my heart wants more. My heart of gratitude for where I am, shouldn’t have to compete with my great big dreams of wanting more. I thank you, God for where you have brought me. And I look forward for all the beautiful things you still have in stored for me.
Perhaps my desire for wanting more could be a void within. Like, experiencing life more, giving more, loving more and forgiving more. I don’t want to spend my time chasing and missing out on the beauty of what is right in front of me. But I truly believe these dreams that hold space in my heart have been placed there for a reason.
So now I will continue to be grateful for each and every day that God has gifted me and I will continue to dream big. Knowing God will bridge the gap between.
